Does it mean that those who have hemorrhoid or constipation problem can never enjoy a delicious meal or a treat from their friends and families that doesn’t include dietary fiber, fruits and vegetables, that they can never eat meat, drink wines etc. How come those who have been doing that , eating drinking wine, meat never have constipation and hemorrhoids?
Of course you can have meat and wine and sweets and treats, assuming that you have run-of-the-mill hemorrhoids or constipation problems. You just also need to adapt your diet to include far more in the way of things like oatmeal and whole grains, fruit, and vegetables – particularly raw or lightly cooked vegetables like salads and stir-fries.

How long does it take for external hemmroids to go away?
In May I discovered that I had internal hemorrhoids and did all the things the doctor told me to do, but a few days ago I noticed (more like felt) that I had external hemorrhoids. I am taking the suppositories 2x a day and taking baths, but they seem to be getting worse and not better. Any ideas how long this lasts if your truly following doctors orders?

Several of my friends are expecting their first or second baby so pregnancy has been on my mind, of late. It seems like there are so many complaints from women these days about the discomforts of pregnancy, such as bad morning sickness, mood swings, backaches, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, constipation, skin discoloration and anemia and the list goes on. But what the doctors don’t tell you (but your midwife may) is that a lot of these symptoms are your body crying out for some form of nutrition.

1) Home treatment and prevention.
There are a variety of easily available over the counter medications and homeopathic remedies designed to shrink hemorrhoids and end the symptoms. These range from a host of ointments, suppositories and even herbal items depending on the severity of the flare-up. A large percentage of cases are completely and satisfactorily treated with these products. Combined with a simple adjustment of diet usually involving adding more fiber, eliminating certain foods, drinking more water or adjusting other causal factors such as medicines, avoiding NSAIDS like aspirin or anti-inflammatory pills, physical activity, etc, most cases of hemorrhoids will disappear in days and do not recur.

Their goal is to reduce or eliminate the blood supply to the hemorrhoids so that they will slowly shrink and wither away from lack of nourishment. Performed by doctors as simple office procedures, fixatives will create scar tissue supporting the anal cushions helping to prevent further flare-ups.
Fixative procedures include rubber band ligation – tying off the hemorrhoids with rubber bands to stop the blood flow – coagulation therapy – using heat, electric current or lately, laser devices to create scar tissue – and sclerotherapy – injecting chemicals directly into the swollen tissue to shrink them. Uncomfortable at worst, these procedures have effectively cured the bulk of most hemorrhoidal flare-ups that were not controlled by ointments, suppositories and other, simpler means.
4) Surgical procedures.
There are those cases which can only be treated surgically. They are a small percentage but they do exist. The procedure is called a hemorrhoidectomy and will normally only be done if there is some medical emergency such as profuse bleeding or pus draining from the anus or if the hemorrhoids are so sever that there is a large negative effect on ones lifestyle. Surgery is also mostly used for internal hemorrhoids unless you are having surgery in the area for another reason such as a tear.

You can add 1/4 or 1/3 part aloe juice to a cup of apple juice to make the taste easier to handle. To make this aloe-apple juice more effective, add 10 drops of barberry extract.
Barberry is an astringent for blood vessel congestion along the colon and rectum. It will improve blood circulation; it stimulates the immune system to resist disease, and will tone body tissues. It also is capable of stopping bleeding hemorrhoids.
Bilberry
Bilberry’s active ingredients are flavanoids. Bilberry contains chemical called “anthocyanosides.” This fruit like herb has been used in Europe for a long time. In clinical studies, it has shown to be effective in treating weak capillaries by strengthening their walls.
