Yes. It's quite common and I suffer from that affliction all through my pregnancies(I am 38 weeks with my second and last). I find it helps more to focus on the fiber aspect as well as the added fruit. it also helps more to have citrus fruit than others I have found. I have a bowl of raisin bran every morning and usually a bran muffin or another bowl of bran cereal in the evening. I also eat a lot of melons and citrus as this seems to help. I try to stay away from starchy things completely as they complicate things and this seems to work. Prune juice has done nothing to help me at all.
Lots of fluids are a very good idea as well.

The best thing to do at this point in time is to go to the doctor, have it looked at and finding out the different options to remove it...
