Hemorrhoid treatment center?
Has anyone ever been to the “Hemorrhoid Treatment Center” (a place that specializes in removing hemmy’s using infrared coagulation?
Is it painful? Did your insurance cover it?
I called this place and it sounds very expensive after all the follow-up visits (~ $5-6K total).
I have been suffering now for about 1yr and really need to do something about this, but kinda scared to go to see the Dr.
I am not really constipated and clean with prep H wipes after each movement. But, I do notice that maybe I also have internal hemmys that prevents all the BM to completely come out after I wipe. Very uncomfortable to say the least.
I had the rubber band ligation done a few months ago. The procedure itself didn’t hurt and the insurance paid for it. Afterwards it was kind of uncomfortable until the hemmorid falls off, but the Dr gave me Vicodin for pain and that helped alot. If you go this route, plan on resting at home for at least a day. It wasn’t expensive, I saw that the insurance company was billed 129.00, so even if you have to pay for this, it’s not overly expensive.
PS it’s very embaressing, but a necessary evil.

I went to the docter about an external hemmeroid i had, i got a cream and by personal experience from anybody who had this, when its cured does your bottem look the same? or will it always be noticeable even when it shrinks?

Anal Fissures-What to do after all has been done?
After I had my son 5 and a half months ago, I got anal fissures and internal hemroids. I have been to 4 doctors and the hemroids have been healed but they can’t fix my fissures. The last doctor I went to told me that I was too young for the surgery or cutting the muscle down there. I have used all the prescription medicines and live in the bath tub. Has anyone heard anything NEW other then drinking gallons of water a day?
The pain is awful. While going to the restroom I fill the toilet with blood and after I can’t sit for 6 hours!
I’d suggest going to see a different doctor. No reason not to get a second opinion. I’d start eating lots of fiber and perhaps using stool softeners or laxatives so your fissures can heal. I’d just start downing veggies all day, cut down on carbs and large amounts of animal protein. I think if you can stay on the softeners for a month as well as eating lots more fiber, you could have a chance to heal them… I’d still go get another opinion… can’t hurt anyway. Good luck… I hope you start feeling better soon!

o Pregnancy: Chances of getting hemorrhoids are greater during pregnancy and delivery as extra pressure is exerted to push the baby out of the womb and this pressure tampers with the bowel tissues.

now im scared to use the bathroom cause i don’t want to see blood on my toilet paper. I’ve been eating way less meat in my diet and more water, vegetables and rice. i don’t even think i was bleeding inside my recturm because when i wiped my butt the blood was far away from the poop on the toilet paper. and it wasn’t bleeding much it stopped. but scared to poop again.

It is also possible that it is a fissure, or a small cut inside the rectum caused by a hard stool or a sharp object in your stool. It is also possible it is a hemorrhoid, however, the only person that can truly tell the difference is your primary care provider at your local clinic. In the mean time I would eat mostly soft foods, and also take Metamucil or some other fiber supplement. Ultimately a stool softer would be ideal until you are able to get a proper diagnosis. Somethings you should indicate to your primary physician are the 1) frequency 2) pain and residual pain (how long it hurts after) 3) note if it is painful upon sitting 4) any activities you might participate in (i.e. riding a motorcycle) which cause excessive vibration and /or agitate the rectum. Again, i would recommend making an appointment so the proper solution can be diagnosed. A sitz bath can also help reduce pain upon passing, and may be recommended by your physician.
Additional note after additional info: If the bleeding has stopped and you feel no pain, then either the fissure has begun to heal or the fiber things are working. It would be your risk to decide to not report it to a Dr. if that is the case, and ultimately you should be aware of these consequences, including infection and more bleeding in the future if it is agitated again. Really depends on your particular inclination and situation.
