Can hemorrhoids make you feel like you have to have a bowel movement?

What should I do to make this sensation go away? It’s horrible!
Yes. Any irritation and especially inflammation can make you feel like that. These can also make it take longer for the bowel movement to come out but it’s best that you not sit on the toilet and strain or you’ll cause more hemorrhoids. As long as you’re still going once a day it’s healthy. Don’t worry until you go 3 days without a BM and then contact a doctor. If you want to help yourself go a stool softener will help but remember not to sit and strain. This is the most common cause of hemorrhoids.
