Hemorrhoid pain may last for hours after the bowels have moved. People who need treatment often have the sensation of a lump, or a feeling that a lot of small sharp sticks are inside the rectum, poking them. Pain, itching and burning, especially following bowel evacuation, are common symptoms of Hemorrhoids. Complications, such as bleeding and thromboses, can also occur. Pain and burning when passing stools, stabbing pains, wetness and itching. Incorrect passing of stools and discomfort when sitting.
Painful and inflamed Hemorrhoids may subside. By strengthening and toning the body’s veins, as well as actually lessening swelling and fluid retention in the body, the Hemorrhoids (a swollen vein itself) will be more likely to recede. Pain and problems occur when these veins are stretched and tear under pressure. Treatment is always encouraged before this point.
Constipation is often the culprit because when we try too hard, for too long on a daily basis, to have a bowel movement, the veins in our anus can pop out. Hemorrhoids do tend to shrink when pressure is off, but daily straining can make them continually protrude, bleed and hurt. Constipation is common in women in general and particularly a problem for pregnant women. Constipation is oftentimes the main cause of Hemorrhoids.
Constipation combined with the increased pressure on the rectum and perineum is the primary reason that women experience hemorrhoids. Prolonged standing may also be a factor contributing to hemorrhoids. External hemorrhoids may be accompanied by painful clotting. This is thrombosed hemorrhoids.
Pregnant women often get hemorrhoids because of the strain from carrying the baby and from giving birth. For most women, such hemorrhoids are a temporary problem. Pregnant women frequently have problems with both hemorrhoids and constipation. In the last trimester of pregnancy, the enlarged uterus pressing on blood vessels in the anal area can cause hemorrhoids.
External hemorrhoids, however, are commonly associated with pain and itching as well as bleeding. Thus, most of the approximately 500,000 Americans who seek medical treatment for hemorrhoids each year are afflicted with the external type of the swollen veins. External hemorrhoids involve the veins outside the anus. They can be itchy or painful and can sometimes crack and bleed. External hemorrhoids may also be noticed by the presence of a small skin tag protruding from the anus or of a bulging vein type protrusion around the anus.
External hemorrhoids treatment comes in the form of natural and non-invasive methods, such as Venapro, and is known to be as effective as medical treatments in most cases. One common alternative method is using herbs such as Japanese pagoda tree extracts, butcher’s broom, and horse chestnut, nicely complimented with dietary supplements that strengthen vein walls. Chronically painful or bleeding hemorrhoids may need to be treated with banding or surgery. Consult your physician with questions or problems. Chronic diarrhea is another culprit. Fortunately, though, self-care measures such as Venapro and other lifestyle changes often effectively treat or prevent this problem.
