Do you need to do anything if you have internal hemmoroids?

I recently had a colonoscopy and was told I had internal hemmoroids. I have not had a follow up appt and wasn't told anything else after the procedure. The dr. said he would forward the report and order a lower bowel x-ray in case the pain comes back. I'm confused. Do I need to do anything at this point?

You need to improve your diet by dramatically increasing the amount of water you drink per day and the amount of fresh fruits and vegetables that you take in daily also which can then prevent a flare up of your hemorrhoids. By keeping your stools soft will allow the hemorrhoids to shrink. They never go away but when they are not constantly irritated by hard stool passing over them when you have a bowel movement, they can shrink in size and not cause problems for a long time.
