Does Preparation H cure hemroids or just relieve the symptoms? Lol?

I got this friend who has hemroids…lol…

relieves the symptoms only, to cure the hemmorhoids have to be surgically removed.

HOw do they cure hemroids? Can you pop them yourself?
How do you know which type of hemroids you have ? when i look it up there are so many, and i don't want to go to the cvs and get something wrong… should i just go to the doc.?

No you can't pop them. You could go for surgery though, and to make them better when they flair up, find witch hazel pads (at cvs pharmacy) and place wet pads on them (if they are on the outside of coruse). Leave the pad there and go on your normal way the pad will dry. Change it various times. This makes them reduce in size and stop the itch (if they itch)….I have them & they are terrible. Oh and do not eat spicy foods cuz that makes them flare up too. I want to do surgery but I'm scared! they don't hang around all the time anyways. I call them the Roids family when they come to visit.

How do you cure hemroids?

Beats the heck out of me. One doctor said it was no big deal. Another doctor said lose some weight (still had them). Another doctor said, "You are bleeding where!?! You are getting a colonscope immediately."–the verdict? Hemorrhoids.

I've heard preparation H, but everyone I know who uses it has to use it all the time, which doesn't exactly prove to me that it works. I've heard there are surgeries. The ones that just had them shaved off told horrible tales (They pull the anus out like folding over an eyelid, then shave the polyps and turn things back inside). In one type they somehow "microwave" the growth and it dies and drops off. And in another they use rubber bands to choke it off–which is a hoot to me because one doctor told me that I only have to worry if they "become strangulated".
